29 November 2011 No Comment

Colorcoat® was on song when it helped create a spectacular new home for The Bluebirds, Cardiff City Football Club.

Cardiff City Stadium, which opened in 2009, was part of an ambitious leisure and sport development which not only included the club’s new home ground but also a retail park, athletics stadium, residential housing and a hotel.

With Cardiff City Stadium central to the development, is was crucial it could meet its goal of being a multi-purpose venue, able to successfully host not just football but rugby union matches as the home of Cardiff Blues, along with other events such as star-studded pop and rock concerts.

And there’s no doubt the 26,828-capacity stadium performs when it comes to meeting the demands of a modern stadium – both Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra® and Colorcoat Prisma® were specified for the roof and walls, guaranteeing the longevity of its colour and finish for up to 40 years through Colorcoat’s unique Confidex® guarantee.

Colorcoat® pre-finished steel was also specified for the Millennium Stadium, the largest stadium in Wales and the biggest of its kind in the world, making Colorcoat® the winning team for modern stadium development.
