7 December 2011 No Comment

Creating a shopping mall and a brand new Metro station under one roof needed a contemporary look worthy enough to attract St Petersburg’s fashionistas.

And it’s Colorcoat Prisma® which gives the new Volkovskaya Metro Station and Radius shopping mall its fashionable frontage.

Used by an average two-and-a-half million passengers every day

Colorcoat Prisma® pre-finished steel is Colorcoat’s couture range for buildings. Available in 27 different shades and tones, the range is the ultimate accessory to finish off any building, offering a beautiful yet durable way of keeping a building on-trend.

Every panel of Colorcoat Prisma® not only has superior colour retention and corrosive resistance, it has the reassurance of the Colorcoat market-leading Confidex® guarantee of 30 years for solid and metallic colours and up to 25 years for matt colours – with no maintenance or inspections needed to keep the guarantee valid.

Glossy exterior of glass and cream

Clad in luxurious Cream, a Colorcoat Prisma® colour inspired by the delicate, sumptuous shade of whipped cream, the Volkovskaya Metro Station was built as part of the major expansion of the St Petersburg Metro, one of the deepest subway systems in the world used by an average two-and-a-half million passengers every day.

Contemporary look with a fashionable frontage

The five-storey building above the Metro station houses various retail stores and major brands over three of its floors, as well as a business centre on the fourth and fifth levels.

Thanks to Colorcoat®, there’s no doubt this rich, glossy exterior of glass and cream has put Volkovskaya Metro station firmly on the map.
