Colorcoat scores for Manchester City

12 January 2012 No Comment

Manchester City has no reserves about their new office building thanks to the premiership approach of Colorcoat®.

The high-profile project to kit out the exterior of the club’s state-of-the-art offices at Sportcity demanded the exact shade of blue the team is famous for – and called for Colorcoat® to bring on its star player, the bespoke Repertoire® colour-matching service.

Using Repertoire®, virtually any colour can be created from a simple swatch and reproduced as pre-finished steel cladding. The Repertoire® team can also advise on the best colour strategy to achieve a client’s goal.

Iconic Manchester City blue

Specifiers and architects can use Repertoire’s unique, 3D visualisation tool to create limitless Colorcoat® combinations, on a variety of different building types reproduced in 3D including office, retail, industrial and stadia, giving the flexibility and freedom to see how different uses of colour and effects can influence a building’s appearance. The experienced Repertoire® team can also advise on the best colour strategy to achieve a client’s goal.

And so the iconic Manchester City blue was reproduced in Colorcoat Prisma® pre-finished steel, combined with Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra® in Sirius on the roof and walls. Both ranges offer a first-class performance in durability, colour retention and corrosive resistance, with the reassurance of the unique market-leading Confidex® Guarantee.

A winning design and build

The winning result was achieved in a design and build time of just six months, ensuring that the transfer window for the club’s move into its new offices prior to the 2009/10 season could be met.

The new building is a fitting match for all the behind-the-scenes action of the club, and reflects its prominent position as a gateway to the Sportcity complex and City of Manchester stadium.
