Construction company Lindum opens York office
Construction company, Lindum has opened up a new office in York, creating hundreds of new jobs for the area over the next couple of years.
The new premises, operating from St. Mary’s Court in Blossom Street, adds to existing offices in Lincoln, Peterborough, Grimbsy and London.
Expanding their capacity to take on new clients
David Chambers, chairman of Lindum, told yorkpress.co.uk:
“It is a natural progression, as we already operate in the region and having an office in York will provide us with a central location for looking after new and existing clients in Yorkshire and expanding our business in the area.”
Lindum specialises in affordable sustainable buildings, food and education, handling projects of up to £20 million. The company has just finished a thirty-third medical centre in Harrogate, which cost £4.7 million, as well as a large new food factory for Greggs in Penrith. Its next project is for Newly Weds Foods in Ossett.
Mr Chambers said that the new base in York enables the company to offer an ‘even better service’ to its existing clients, as well as providing the capacity to take on new clients.
Recently named as the top construction company to work for
Lindum, which currently employs 463 craftsmen, technical and managerial staff, was named as the top construction company to work for in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies list this year.
