New guide to green building regulations published
A new guide which summarises the new regulations and policies surrounding green buildings has been made available to business owners. The guide, published by the Zero Carbon Hub, aims to make it easier for commercial property owners to upgrade their buildings.
Zero carbon building
According to greenwisebusiness.co.uk, it covers the new definition of a ‘Zero Carbon Building’. It also explains other recent changes to green building policies such as The Green Deal and the Renewable Heat Incentive.
Business owners may be able to learn about the advantages of adding sustainable features, too – such as solar panels or internal wall cladding.
‘Green’ sector is growing much more strongly than the overall UK economy
The guide was commissioned by Summit Skills, the sector skills council for the UK engineering industry.
Explaining the purpose behind the guide, Summitskills’ chief executive, Keith Marshall OBE, told heatingandventilating.net:
“We wanted to produce a guide that brought together everything businesses need to know, which would enable them to spot the opportunities for growth.”
“With a recent BUS report showing that the ‘green’ sector is growing much more strongly than the overall UK economy, now is the time for employers to plan ahead to maximise their future success.”
Guide is available for download
For a limited period, property owners can get their hands on a free electronic version of the guide from the SummitSkills website.
