Tata Steel forges a great future for Multimetaal

4 February 2013 No Comment

Cool, metallic colours give a great hint to what’s going on behind the closed doors of this building in the Netherlands.

This is the HQ of Dutch firm Multimetaal, which provides construction, testing and fabrication services to the on and off-shore oil, gas and petrochemical industries. The brief for architects Tjaart Hoeksema BNA was simple – a building which was attractive, yet cost-effective, to house the company’s state-of-the-art workshops and offices.

The finished result is a large-framed building where the workshops are accessed through giant, charcoal-coloured doors whilst the offices are visible through a huge glass front.

To overcome the challenge of creating a building with the necessary numerous openings, yet which still gives a clean, sleek finish, Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra® was selected to clad the frame in different shades of grey and blue.

Futuristic HQ shows Multimetaal’s true colours

Anthracite Grey and Alaska, both standard colours from the extensive spectrum of the Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra® range, are offset with Ice Blue as a highlight, turning what is a functional design into an exciting, futuristic space.

Heavy metal for Dutch firm’s new HQ

Multimetaal-2 Every Colorcoat® panel which was installed offers unrivalled corrosive resistance and colour retention, with the backing of the Colorcoat® unique Confidex® guarantee, making Multimetaal’s new home not only strikingly cool, but future-proof as well.
